HANNAH (Hannah Roelofs) recently graduated from the Rock Academy. Her debut debut single “SELFISH” was released on November 8, 2024. For HANNAH, music is the way to express her deepest feelings. She recently worked on her debut EP (release in 2025), expressing the search for balance between her personal life and her alter ego. Supported by her band, she shares her honest story, vulnerability and emotions in her powerful, dynamic electronic pop songs.

A Voice of Vulnerability and Strength
As an artist, HANNAH has always been on a journey to define her identity. Is she fully herself, or does she present an alter ego? Through writing her debut EP, Stages of Me, she has come closer to understanding herself — both as a person and as a musician. Her electronic pop sound encapsulates the raw emotions of insecurity in relationships, the search for self-discovery, and the overwhelming pressure of today’s high-performance society. HANNAH’s goal is to bring solace to her listeners, allowing them to find pieces of themselves in her lyrics.
Writing her EP is an intimate process, unfolding in her small attic just outside Eindhoven. There, she sketches out her thoughts, crafts stories like unfolding movie scenes in her mind, and brings them to life on her well-worn secondhand piano. Layering multiple vocal tracks, she creates a warm and immersive sound—one of the defining elements of her music.
The creative process continues with producer Rens Koppe, where her ideas are transformed into dynamic productions. She also collaborates with Sjors de Haas, Benjamin Bastiaan and Hugo Jobse, crafting fresh and compelling arrangements. Supported by drummer Tom Koonen (known for his work with Naaz and Remme), HANNAH’s music finds its heartbeat in tight rhythms and catchy vocal lines.
A Rockacademie graduate, HANNAH has spent years honing her craft, including working as a backing vocalist for Kovacs. However, the time had come for her own project. She made her debut on November 8, 2024, with her first single, Selfish—which quickly gained airplay on 3FM.
For HANNAH, music is the purest way to express her deepest emotions. Her upcoming debut EP (set for release in 2025) explores the delicate balance between personal reality and artistic identity. With her band, she translates her journey into powerful, dynamic electronic pop songs, filled with honesty, vulnerability, and emotional depth.
Her second single, Criminal, tells the story of a relationship where one person has already emotionally checked out but refuses to be honest—stealing time in the process.
